The Wizard of Oz

Posted by PicasaHellooooo!!  I've really been missing blogging!  I'm hoping to start being a little more regular with it again!  I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I promise! Just working hard at growing another baby bump! ;)  Here we have a Little Golden Book of  The Wizard of Oz as well as  Read-Along Book and Tape.  During March Break my 6-year-old and I went with friends to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical version of The Wizard of Oz and we had a great time!  (See the Youtube clip below.) We started reading the original L. Frank Baum book as well but have been sidetracked by other books that Keira has been taking out of the school library, etc., and we need to get back to it.  I have great memories of reading all of the Oz books as a child.  Check out my friend Danzel's blog, www.silvershoesandrabbitholes.com to see some of her cool posts about the Oz museum and other awesome versions of the Oz books that are available.

In other news, this month it's my 1-year blog anniversary!!  I love blogging, it is a fun part of my life and I especially love the topic that I blog about and am glad to have a place to share that!

  2. Congratulations on your anniversary :) Great vintage edition! I think I remember seeing that one from my school library when I was in elementary school! I also had a pop-up once of the Wizard of Oz but it was destroyed by many years of tugging little hands. So now I should go on the hunt for another book.

  4. Hey Leanne! Good to see a post :) One year is an awesome benchmark! Funny thing, I have no Oz memories from my own childhood because my mom detested everything Oz. Bummer, right?
